The Brief
The brief is to create a logo for an Industrial design student. The client stated that they want it to be a simple yet sophisticated logo, with a monotone colour pallet. He wants it to be type only with no fancy embellishments.
Time Scale: 2 day brief (2/12/15 - 3/12/15)
Research
I did some research into some logo design. The last two, in particular, gave me the inspiration to see how I can interlock and play with the flow of the text.
Experimentation
Final Design/Mock up
I was asked to create some branding for an industrial designer. The requirements of the whole thing were that it had to look professional and simplistic with a monotone colour pallet. The idea behind my design is that I wanted to create something that flowed. I was playing around with his initials and found that the R could be made from the curve of the G. This created a loop effect that gave the logo a balanced feel. I also mocked the logo up to show how it would work in context. The font that I used is called "aaargh." Overall I am pleased with how it has turned out and the client was happy as well.
