OUDG 603 - Brief 9, Toolally Lookbook

While I was on placement at The London Fashion Agency, I met the lovely Mags (one of their clients) who handmakes her own jewellery. And she was impressed with the photos I was taking and asked me to take some of her Toolally jewellery which I then decided to turn into a lookbook.

The Brief

The brief is to create a lookbook for Toolally. The design will need to mimic the sophisticated feel of the brand. But is also a chance to be totally creative with the editorial and layout.

Research

This one gave me the idea to use orange brinding in the book, so that it add a bit of colour and matches the bright colours used in the Toolally earrings.

The concentina fild here gives a goof effect, I want to try and be creative with how i present the lookbook.

Again here, another well presented book.

I did some rearch into existing look books to help give me some inspriration.

Shoot Photos

Me working on the shoot.

The shoot was something that I really enjoyed doing. While on my work experience one of the tasks was to look for props to use in the photo shoot. For part of it, I had to a flower mark in Vauxhall to get some plants and greenery to include in the shoot. While shooting the jewellery I tried to work with an angular and geometric theme, similar to the shape of the earrings. Also because of the multiple colours used in the jewellery I kept the backdrop quite simple so that they could stand out, using navy, black, white, a dusty pink and grey.

Finished Lookbook

I got orange string to bind the book, I wanted to use a bright colour similar to those seen throughout the jewellery.
